Term 1 2016 WEEK 3

This week we continue with our new routines and expectations. It can be difficult getting used to new ways of doing things, however with perseverance we will be old hands in no time :-)

Room 6 students are enjoying using their own devices as well as a few class chromebooks. The ease of writing is helping those who shy away from writing, and on the flip side, those students who like writing are equally enjoying the freedom writing on a chromebook gives them. So thank you to the parents for allowing your children to have these expensive items at school. We are looking after them!

The students will be thinking about their goals for learning in reading, writing and maths over the next couple of weeks. What they think they need to improve on and then working collaboratively with me to plan for how they can achieve this. Hence, Dr. Suess's quote above.

We are learning to...

Friday is our Pārāwai School Swimming Sports, and for those who enter, this will be held at the Centennial Pool from 9am until finished (usually around lunchtime). There will be a parent/teacher race, so if you are keen give your name to Maree Jamieson (Rm 10).

On the same day there will also be a swimming display for students not attending Pārāwai swimming sports run by Eleanor Lee (Rm15) at our school pool during the morning (time to be decided).

In case of bad weather we have Monday 22nd of Feb as our save day.

See you there!!! Have a great weekend :-)
